Celebrating Volunteers: EDGE’s Impact on Local Communities

EDGE takes pride in celebrating the remarkable contributions of volunteers across the UK.

Our commitment to social value extends beyond our core services in Cost and Project Management – every year, each EDGE office participates in at least one volunteering day, fostering a culture of community engagement and making a positive impact on where it matters most.

At EDGE, we recognise that our responsibility extends beyond project sites and boardrooms. We believe in giving back to the communities that support us. Over the past 12 months, our dedicated teams have volunteered their time and skills to several incredible charities. Let’s take a look at each of the organisations and the meaningful work our volunteers have undertaken.

Yorkshire Children’s Charity

The Sheffield office embraced the spirit of giving during the annual children’s Christmas Party! Disadvantaged children from deprived backgrounds experienced joy and laughter as our team dressed up as characters, such as Buzz Lightyear, provided entertainment, assisted with their Christmas lunch and ensured the day was truly magical for every child.

Birmingham Museum’s Trust

EDGE Birmingham traded cost plans gardening gloves at Blakesley Hall. With Summer fast approaching, they dedicated their volunteering day to sprucing up the Hall’s grounds. Their efforts not only enhanced the visitor experience, but also demonstrated our commitment to preserving local heritage.

CATCH Leeds

CATCH, an organisation creating safe environments for community involvement, found a committed partner in our Leeds office. The team built enclosures for the new alpaca residents, cleaned out the goat barn and tended to the surrounding green spaces. EDGE even sponsored Duke the goat, symbolising our ongoing support for CATCH’s mission.

Leeds Hospitals Charity

EDGE Leeds took to Leeds Hospitals Charity Shop to assist sorting out donations, tidying the shop front and general front of house responsibilities. Members of the team even rolled up their sleeves and helped to paint the changing rooms, giving them a new lease of life!

Volunteering goes beyond simple tasks; it represents our common humanity.

EDGE is proud to encourage our people to actively engage with their local communities. When we volunteer, we build relationships, make things better, and leave behind a positive impact.

At EDGE, we remain committed to building not only structures but also stronger communities.
