Collaborative commercial and project management to protect funding allocations.

Timely design development to meet budget constraints was critical for this funded scheme.

Our approach, led by our senior project manager, included managing the appointment of structural, mechanical and electrical consultants.

We then hosted weekly collaborative meetings with the full consultant team.

This engagement ensured a solid foundation for the main contractor’s design team to work from.

EDGE also conducted dedicated design workshops for comprehensive client review and sign-off throughout.

Robust procurement to ensure value for money.

We supported a robust public procurement exercise to appoint the main project contractor.

This involved a comprehensive two-stage tender process, as part of a design and build contract.

Our strategy included regular liaison and consultation with the council’s procurement team to ensure alignment with their internal governance and demonstration of best commercial value.

These objectives were achieved, while adhering to strict budget requirements.
